Saint Jermaine Endeley drops primary challenge against Diane Savino [UPDATED]
3:03 pm • 16 December 2011

Saint Jermaine Endeley, who had been angling to run against State Senator Diane Savino in the Democratic primary, has dropped his intentions to wage the bid, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation.
When asked for comment, Endeley responded that he is “not talking to the press at this time.”
Update: Without confirming or denying the above story, Endeley posts on his Facebook page about this blog post:
If you want accurate information on my campaign, The Brooklyn Politics Blog is not where to get it. Please disregard their story as my camp has not confirmed any reports of exiting the race. We are an exploratory committee that is constantly reevaluating our position and chances of winning the election. We tried having conversations with folks within the party but too often our confidence is broken and something is leaked to the press. So we are moving forward with our reevaluation and will have a statement for the public in the coming days.
Update II: Endeley further contacts to say directly “we have not dropped the bid,” which fits in with the above statement that he’s just officially reevaluating his exploratory committee at the moment.
We’ll have to see what happens with the statement he references will be arriving in the coming days.
