Dan Squadron attempts the impossible: Improving the L line’s weekend service

Here’s a video of State Senator Dan Squadron (D-Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn Heights) on Good Day New York explaining the issue and what he’s doing about it.
The New York Times recently reported on the sometimes ridiculously crowded weekend subway lines, which impacts a handful of Brooklyn stations as you can see from the map above.
Squadron says in a press release that improving the subway service isn’t impossible at all:
“Today’s report underscores the fact that weekend subway service is simply not keeping up with New York,” said Senator Squadron. “Working together in 2009, we improved F service and created a model for future progress. Now we must reapply that experience and ensure dependable service every day of the week.”
