Diane Savino catches some flack over her Facebook comments

I’ve enjoyed some of the funny remarks coming out of State Senator Diane Savino’s Facebook page (which pour out in a giant stream once per day usually), but some have taken to criticizing the snark:
In a posting on Monday, Ms. Savino (D-North Shore/Brooklyn) invited her personal Facebook followers to “Meet the New Mafia,” and linked to a New York Times editorial critical of the role that Tea Party lawmakers played in the debt-ceiling negotiations. When Tea Partiers and others objected, Ms. Savino said she was free to share her opinions on her private Facebook, and that those who didn’t like it should un-friend her or go to her official Senate site.
…
He said that Ms. Savino “regularly uses ugly remarks against those she disagrees with,” and pointed to a comment in which she said Rep. Michael Grimm (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn) didn’t know where the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge was.
Savino seems to be taking the criticism in stride, however:
